Quality Schools International has made considerable gains in the area of special needs with the development of a special needs policy. This policy is the foundation for our learning support framework created to serve students with mild to moderate learning challenges who may need accommodations to master the curriculum. With the support of Regional Learning Support Coordinators and teachers experienced in Literacy and Mathematics remediation strategies and programs, QSI can develop and support appropriate academic and/or behavioral learning plans to meet the needs of each individual student. As the school develops and the need for an Intensive English program arises, QSI Togo will provide additional instruction in verbal and written English, particularly those for whom English is not a first language. The principal goal of Intensive English is to bring students to a level of academic English, including oral competency, which allows them to transfer to regular classes as rapidly as possible. Students of different ages, maturities, linguistic backgrounds, and previous exposure to English will progress at different rates.  Students are assigned to the appropriate level to best meet individual needs.  The content of Intensive English parallels that of the Elementary literacy courses while building a foundation for academic success.
